Hideaway

This ancient farm workers cottage has been completely restored and renovated to provide a gite just for 2. The ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen area under the stairs with all the pots, pans and utensils you could need. There is a gas cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Laundry facilities consisting of a washing machine and tumble dryer are available across the courtyard, payable by tokens. There is a dining table and chairs near the window and comfy sofas placed around the large wood burning stove. For your entertainment, we have provided a colour TV with Sky Digibox tuned in to Freeview channels (so you don't have to miss your favourite programmes), DVD player & portable radio/CD player. You can also watch French TV channels if you're trying to brush up on your language skills. If you subscribe to Sky in the UK, bring your card to enable you to watch even more channels.

Upstairs reveals a large fully-furnished bedroom. A wash-basin is located in the corner of the room with the shower and WC behind saloon-style doors. Due to the age of the building, there is a low beam in the bedroom area which adds charm and character but please mind your head! There is electric convector heating for those cooler winter evenings.

Al fresco dining on the patio at the side of the cottage is a must on a summer evening, watching the sunset across the fields of maize. Both our gites are equipped with patio furniture and bbq's.

There is an above-ground pool in a fenced and gated gravelled terrace area. The pool measures 7.5m x 3.5m and is for fun rather than serious swimming. It has a raised wooden deck around one side for easy access. There are also sun-loungers, tables, chairs and parasols all available for use. A boules court and dartboard are also provided in this area for your entertainment (boules can be borrowed if required). Ladies and gents bicycles are available for daily or weekly hire at reasonable rates, complete with rucksack and helmet.
